The Research Center for Religious Diversity (RelVie) attended the first symposium of the Network of Centers for Christian-Muslim Relations (NCCMR), held in Cairo on July 6–7, 2026, under the title “The Future of Christian-Muslim Relations: Prospects and Challenges.”
The symposium focused on the history and future of Christian-Muslim relations, the role of Christian-Muslim dialogue and peace-building, and intra- and interreligious solidarity.
The NCCMR was founded in 2024 to connect leading institutions of Christian-Muslim dialogue in Africa, Asia, and the MENA region and to strengthen academic exchange. Since 2025, RelVie has been one of only two institutions in the Global North to belong to the network as an affiliated member.
Representatives of more than 29 member-organizations from 19 countries, as well as world experts, and high-ranking Muslim and Christian clergy accepted the invitation to the Egyptian capital to engage in dialogue and lay the groundwork for further cooperation.
