Reflection: Summit on Intercultural Religious Competence in Krakow
From June 4 to 6, 2025, our team member Dr. Ghassan El Masri attended the summit on Cross-Cultural Religious Literacy (CCRL) in Krakow. The event was organized by the nonprofit organization Love Your Neighbor Community (LYNC).
The summit brought together leading practitioners of CCRL from around the world, who shared experiences and case studies in the inspiring setting of the city of Krakow. This exchange offered new insights into the practical application of CCRL in addressing a variety of challenges, including ethnic and religious conflicts, emergency measures in wartime, radicalization prevention, overcoming post-communist mentalities, and reducing societal polarization.
Participants included (see photo): Chris Seiple, Dennis Hoover, Halina Kusack, Wade Kusack, Tina (Ramirez) Lee, Shadi Hamid, Wageeh Mikhail, Greg Mitchell, Uriel Simonsohn, Tetiana Kalenychenko, Katherine Marshall, Matthew Kaemingk, Afeefa Syeed, Sudipta Roy, Jared Daugherty, Josh Good, Lane Creamer, Lakhdar Ghettas, Maayan Raveh, James Walters, W.
